You have the option to decide what appears on the homepage of your site. You can display posts in reverse chronological order, in a classic blog format, or choose a fixed/static page. To set a static homepage, you must first create two Pages. One of these will serve as the homepage, while the other will display your posts.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings.
Once you are done, click the Publish button at the top to save the changes.
